Connect from your assistant

Solid Commerce speaks MCP, so your assistant can read your catalog, orders and inventory — and act on them — without you building anything. Here is exactly what that looks like. You'll create the API key these snippets need in the first step after signup; it takes about a minute.

Claude

Ask Claude about your store, and let it act on your behalf.

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the Solid Commerce MCP URL below and save.
  4. Authorize when prompted — the consent screen lists the scopes in plain English.
terminal
https://mcp.solidcommerce.com/mcp

ChatGPT

Run your store conversationally from ChatGPT.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose to add a connector and pick the MCP-server option.
  3. Enter the Solid Commerce MCP URL below.
  4. Authorize, then pick which company to connect if you have more than one.
terminal
https://mcp.solidcommerce.com/mcp

Gemini

Use Solid Commerce as a tool inside Gemini CLI.

  1. Install Gemini CLI if you don't have it.
  2. Register the Solid Commerce MCP server.
  3. Sign in once — the token is stored in your OS keychain.
terminal
gemini mcp add solidcommerce --url https://mcp.solidcommerce.com/mcp
solidcommerce auth login

Claude Code

Same terminal you already ship from.

  1. Register the MCP server with your API key.
terminal
claude mcp add solidcommerce \
  --transport stdio \
  --env SOLIDCOMMERCE_API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEY \
  -- npx -y @solidcommerce/mcp-server

Codex CLI

For teams standardized on OpenAI's stack.

  1. Register the MCP server, then sign in.
terminal
codex mcp add solidcommerce --transport http https://mcp.solidcommerce.com/mcp
solidcommerce auth login
Codex CLI setup guide →

Our own CLI — @solidcommerce/cli

One command for every part of the platform, with JSON output that pipes straight into jq. Handy for cron jobs and CI as well as agents.

terminal
npm install -g @solidcommerce/cli
solidcommerce auth login
solidcommerce orders order list --limit 10 --output table
Any other MCP host, or your own agent

Every MCP client takes this config. Swap YOUR_API_KEY for the key you create after signup. If you'd rather call plain HTTP, the REST API lives at https://api.solidcommerce.com/v1 and the remote MCP endpoint is https://mcp.solidcommerce.com/mcp.

config

  "mcpServers": {
    "solidcommerce": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "@solidcommerce/mcp-server"
      ],
      "env": {
        "SOLIDCOMMERCE_API_KEY": "YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
